Datatrac announces General Availability of Wireless eTrac on Blackberry®
Atlanta, GA, December 28, 2005 - Datatrac Corporation, the leading solutions
provider for the expedited freight industry, today announced the general availability of Wireless eTracTM on
Blackberry. Wireless eTracTM is Datatrac's mobile data communications software which connects dispatchers
and drivers in real time using cell phones. Wireless eTracTM on Blackberry allows Datatrac to offer its
Wireless eTrac service on any network that supports the Blackberry platform in both the US and Canada.
Wireless eTrac puts real-time information exchange capabilities right in the dispatchers' and
drivers' hands. It transmits data between the dispatch office and drivers' cell phones, delivering complete job
information and eliminating costly radio wait time.
Frank Zastrow, Operations Mgr at Edina Couriers, who has deployed over a hundred Blackberry
units, says, "The Wireless eTrac solution on Blackberry has proven to have a significant impact on our business.
Our drivers are more productive using the Wireless eTrac application because of its improved user interface and
functionality."
"The release of Wireless eTrac on Blackberry is a milestone for Datatrac. It allows us to offer
Wireless eTrac on modern devices in new markets," said David Leach, Chairman and CEO of Datatrac. "Now all you need
to use Wireless eTrac is a Blackberry device."
In addition to making dispatchers and drivers more efficient, Wireless eTrac enhances the work
environment. It reduces telephone traffic, creates more jobs per day, and lowers noise in vehicles and dispatch
offices. With Wireless eTrac the dispatch staff has more time to take care of the Courier or Agent's most important
assets: their customers. That's why courier and trucking companies nationwide rely on Wireless eTrac to keep them connected.
