Corporation is again advancing mobility solutions in the transportation
logistics technology. The newest release of Wireless eTrac
debuted at the Messenger Courier Association of America show
last week bringing new features and enhanced usability to
this industry-leading technology product.
New functionality within version 3.5.1 was designed specifically
to save critical time for drivers while enabling improved
customer service. Most notably, delivery service providers
can now take advantage of the speed and accuracy inherent
in barcode scanning technology using their current Sprint
Nextel i355 mobile phones. Drivers simply scan package and
location codes for a complete, accurate chain of custody record
and visual proof of delivery.
Additional features are also engineered to improve operational
performance. An auto-dispatch capability gives drivers the
ability to self-assign jobs in the field and generate additional
revenue. Improved usability allows drivers to more easily
navigate on-screen menus for faster operation. All of these
new enhancements combine to allow couriers and truckers to
provide the services that customers demand while keeping technology
costs in line.
