Datatrac Announces First Release for Windows® Interface
ATLANTA, GA – Datatrac Corporation (www.datatrac.com), the leading solutions provider for the expedited freight industry, is announcing the general availability of eDispatcher™ v3.1. This powerful product fully leverages the capabilities of the latest version of COPS™—Datatrac’s back office product built to improve profitability and productivity for couriers. The newest product release is also strategically important as it delivers the first phase of a new Windows interface suite that will provide an optional graphical interface for existing Datatrac products.
Designed to help dispatchers maximize operational efficiency, eDispatcher provides full visibility into the status of jobs and drivers. Even the most experienced dispatchers will appreciate the speed and flexibility with which jobs can be assigned through a simple drag-and-drop process. One of the most powerful features of eDispatcher is the ability to group jobs prior to assigning them to a driver. With its Hold Group function, eDispatcher permits dispatchers to aggregate jobs and sequence them for greatest efficiency prior to assigning them to a driver. When used in conjunction with Wireless eTrac as part of a total dispatch solution, these jobs can be instantly sent to the selected driver via their mobile phone and in the exact designated order.
Skilled dispatchers are an asset to any delivery company and eDispatcher can even help newer personnel get up to speed quickly. Using the graphical interface, new dispatchers can more easily visualize the available jobs and assign them to the appropriate drivers. Even as the workload evolves during the course of the day, it’s easy to keep track of jobs for a particular area and determine the optimal time to dispatch.
