Atlanta, GA – April 9, 2007 – Datatrac Corporation today announced a new addition to its industry-leading wireless solution. With the release of the newest version of Wireless eTrac™, users of Sprint® Nextel i355 mobile phones can improve the accuracy of their data with the addition of integrated barcode scanning. In partnership with Scottsdale, AZ based PointeWare, Datatrac offers a cost-effective solution for couriers and truckers who need to capture accurate barcode data for their shipments.

With the extension of its existing barcode capability, Datatrac continues to broaden its leading-edge route distribution offering. Adding to the full range of auto ID options, the new phone-based module is already fully integrated with existing Datatrac systems. Service providers can now expand beyond earlier, single-purpose products offering only minimal features. Instead, they can deploy a complete system that provides shipment information in real-time from order entry through delivery, along with invoicing, reconciliation and settlement.

Highly accurate tracking data will be expected by shippers mandating the use of automatic data capture technology. Service providers handling tightly controlled shipments like pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics and agricultural products must meet these mandates in order to remain competitive.
