COPS® v6.7 became generally available on February 18th and offers users a host of
new features and functionality to help them operate at peak efficiency.
Featured in this release are key changes designed to support
couriers who are evolving to meet the growing demand for distribution services.
Status of both on-demand and distribution jobs can now be monitored from a single
screen to help dispatchers keep track of progress. Because customers increasingly
demand real-time access to tracking information and verifiable proof of delivery data,
version 6.7 supports bar code scanning with specific mobile phones used in concert with
modular scanners. The capability to transfer jobs to other service providers through the
Datatrac network will open new opportunities for expanded service offerings and additional
revenue sources.
Speed and accuracy are critical for successful couriers, so COPS v6.7 was
engineered specifically to meet those needs. All addresses for both assigned and unassigned
jobs in the system are checked through integration with Google Maps™ to ensure drivers don’t
waste precious time looking for pickup and delivery locations. With this verified data, users
can leverage other components of the complete Datatrac solution for mobile dispatch and
visibility into driver positions in real-time.
The latest version of COPS also includes a wide array of enhancements
